Meet our Officers

  • Jack Magee

    CHIEF

Long time member, Jack Magee can be found singing at events across Amador County and beyond as ‘Travelin’ Tunes’. He is also involved with American Legion, Post 108 and the local boy scouts.

Jack has many years, under his belt competing at different Scottish Games. He will gladly talk about when he was invited to Scotland to compete. When Scotland calls, of course you go.

At 80+ years old, he is still competing. Jack loves showing how to toss the caber and don’t be surprised if he sings a tune while doing it.

  • Jacob Sands

    VICE CHIEF

Born and raised in Amador County, Jacob is the owner of Viking Services, a pool cleaning business. He is not only an officer of the Mother Lode Scots but also one of our Scottish Games athletes, competing all over the Northwest.

When not helping at events, competing or designing Mother Lode Scots merchandise, he can be found volunteering at the Knights Foundry in Sutter Creek.

Jacob is proud of his Viking and Scottish heritage and loves demonstrating Scottish heavy athletic events to local kids and adults.

  • Patricia Stikeleather

    SECRETARY

After retiring from owning a flower shop, Patricia became an antique/art/photography dealer, and currently manages a collectible co-op in downtown Sutter Creek.

She is proud of her Scottish heritage and is planning her second trip to Scotland.

She joined the Mother Lode Scots several years ago at the encouragement of her brother, and has actively participated in many events.

  • Martina McKenzie-Wettig

    TREASURER

Martina is currently a statewide title officer with Placer Title Company and co-owner of Celtic Herbal Kitchen. She has been a member of the Mother Lode Scots, on and off, since 2012.

When not working on things for the Mother Lode Scots or attending Celtic events, she can be found making bags of custom handcrafted teas, seasoning blends, and other herbal concoctions.

  • Ray Dunlap

    SERGEANT-AT-ARMS

Ray has extensive security experience, having retired from the Police Force, the Army as Command Sergeant Major, and an instructor for Vocational Law Enforcement. Currently, he is lead supervisor for Uretsky Security.

When not keeping us safe or advising the MLS board on the by-laws, he is caring for 5 gorgeous Highland Coos. His strong Scottish roots run deep, and enjoys being around people with like interests.
